New Artwork: Kinetic Walkers
‘Kinetic Walkers’ emerged from the project NOOSTOPIA I created together with Moritz Ostruschnjak for Theater Bielefeld. The work is a interactive robotic installation that consists of several robots. The robots could be controlled in various ways, which includes using real-time live control and pre-programmed control including a movement recording function.

Technique: wood tree branches, servo motors, 3D printed parts, electronics, cables, computer, custom-made computer program, controller
‘Kinetic Walkers’ is a robotic installation that consists of several robots, constructed from wooden tree branches, servo motors and other electronic components. The work deals with our notion of nature and the human urge for innovation, questioning the connection between what has born from nature and what has been made. Does our definition of technology transform if we look at it over very long timescales? Does it also display a form of evolution entwined with our own?
